Matt Paradise was a full-scholarship graduate from both
Robert Morris (RMU) and Long Island University (LIU). He started as
a forward for 2 years at LIU. There he was selected as an
All-American and rookie of the year. Due to reoccurring injury he
sat out the next 2 years. RMU being in the North East Conference
seen Matt play often and gave him another chance to prove he can
contribute to their team. Matt started at either midfield or forward
at RMU. He ended his career with 16 goals and 8 assists. In
the 2005 season RMU won the NEC championship and played WVU in the first
round of the NCAA tournament.
Matt is a graduate of Plum Senior High School. There
he was honored as an All-American his senior year for soccer. He was
a 2 time All-State and WPIAL selection. Matt was also a member of
Beadling soccer club and the ODP regional team. His Beadling soccer
team was rated as one of the top 4 teams in the country. He has
traveled to France (twice) Spain, and Canada to play soccer. Matt
was also a member of the Pittsburgh Futsul Club.
Matt has been coaching for 10 years now. He helped
assistant coach for the '88' ODP team. He also coached 6 years with
Century United and is currently coaching with PFA and is a high school
coach at Keystone Oaks.
